Unsubtly juxtaposing the links between faith and war, the artist crafts various religious artifacts and iconography using only parts scavenged from various weaponry — guns, bullets, and munitions. Churches, synagogues, and even the White House, perhaps the greatest source of domination and conquest the world has seen in the last century, get the treatment. This is the latest show from Visu Contemporary, the Miami Beach gallery that exhibited David LaChapelle in January. Opening Friday, April 12, at Visu Contemporary, 2160 Park Avenue, Miami Beach; visugallery.com. Read more at New Times.
