MIAMI BEACH, OCTOBER 21, 2023 — Visu Contemporary is pleased to announce Dr. Bruce Halpryn has joined as the gallery’s new Co-Owner and Co-Curator. Halpryn joins forces with Blake Pearson, the gallery’s existing Founder, to lead Visu Contemporary into an exciting new chapter of artistic exploration.
Halpryn brings to Visu Contemporary a wealth of experience and a deep appreciation for the art world. For eight years Halpryn was President of the Board of FotoFocus, the largest photography and other lens-based art biannual in the United States, where he remains on the board after reaching term limit as President. Halpryn is a current Shareholder of the Cincinnati Art Museum, where he has had a key role in creating and maintaining the Friends of Photography affinity group, numerous photography acquisitions for the museum collection, while also underwriting exhibits. Halpryn is a serial entrepreneur, as the founder and leader of multiple start-up pharmaceutical companies at the forefront of early-phase new drug development and regulatory affairs. Bruce is currently the CEO, Co-Founder, and Board President of Eikonoklastes Therapeutics, where he continues to contribute his expertise to bringing ground breaking new pharmaceuticals to treat the world’s most serious diseases.
Halpryn’s dedication to fostering emerging and established talent, while pushing the boundaries of contemporary art, aligns perfectly with Visu Contemporary’s mission. His unique perspective will contribute to the gallery’s ongoing commitment to bringing diverse, compelling, and thought-provoking art to the community.
