"This is an image of Chipo, our beloved helper, shines with a regal beauty that transcends her role. I wanted to capture her inherent majesty and grace. When I was creating this image, I thought about the inherently portable, and simultaneously personal and public nature of African fabric. Because they are mobile, moving as commodities and gifts, and worn on the bodies of travellers, these forms readily pass between cultures and communiBes.
